About Brain Cloud Comics
It all started when...
Brain Cloud Comics was founded in early 2009 with the intention of publishing some of the best, sharpest and most creative independent, small press books around. Starting with the release of Pretentious Record Store Guy and then the anthology series SHORTS + LOSSES, Brain Cloud Comics has continued to publish a strong array of independent comics. Both The Ideal and ROANOKE were released as one-shot comics in 2016, while the mini-series The Baron Age and Weathermen were launched in 2017. 2018 and 2019 saw the publication of the crime series BLOOD ON THE TRACKS.
In 2010, Brain Cloud Comics expanded with the addition of Ink and Drink Comics, a collective of comic book creators, writers and illustrators mostly from the St. Louis area. Ink and Drink Comics showcases the new and upcoming talent from Indie St. Louis creators with bi-annual, genre based anthologies. Their first anthology was the horror themed Spirits of St. Louis, which made its debut at Project Comic-Con in St. Louis in September of 2010. Since then, they have published 15 other anthologies, covering all of the major genres — horror, sci-fi, crime, romance, war, fantasy, western, nonfiction, kids, local interest — before circling back again to restart the loop.
